About Us

The Mission

Our mission is to acquire and bring together specialist firms in the built environment, building a group where deep expertise across vital trades creates an unmatched service offering and a resilient, future-focused business.

Our Philosophy

Our philosophy is simple: to provide a "good home" for great businesses. We believe the true value of a company lies in its people, its reputation, and the legacy created by its founder. Our commitment is to protect these invaluable assets, ensuring that the businesses we partner with continue to thrive for years to come. We are builders, not bankers, and our approach is one of partnership and long-term, sustainable growth.

Our Strategy

Our strategy is one of careful, deliberate growth. We identify successful, reputable SMEs where we can add value through strategic integration and shared resources. Each company in our portfolio retains its unique strengths and identity while benefiting from the support and synergy of the wider group. We do not engage in aggressive cost-cutting; instead, we invest in our companies and our people to make the entire group stronger together.

The Senior Leadership Team

Our leadership team is comprised of industry veterans who understand the day-to-day challenges and opportunities within the built environment. We lead with a hands-on approach, grounded in the belief that trust, transparency, and mutual respect are the cornerstones of any successful partnership.

Kristian Brown - Managing Director

Kristian has over 15 years' experience in the construction and development industry, having founded and operated his own main contracting company delivering projects across the residential and commercial sectors. That hands-on background means he understands the day-to-day realities of running a business in the built environment, from managing sites and teams to navigating the pressures that come with growth. He leads Keystone's acquisition programme with a straightforward philosophy: find great businesses, pay a fair price, and give them a home where they can keep doing what they do best.

Jane Phillips - Office Manager

Jane manages the day-to-day operations at Keystone, coordinating deal administration, communications and scheduling across the team. She is the first point of contact for many of the business owners and advisers Keystone works with, ensuring that every enquiry is handled promptly and professionally. Her focus on organisation and process keeps the business running smoothly behind the scenes.

Bilal Karim - Finance Director

Bilal oversees Keystone's financial strategy, deal structuring and post-acquisition integration planning. With a background in corporate finance and SME advisory, he brings a methodical approach to evaluating opportunities and ensuring every acquisition is structured to work for both buyer and seller. He works closely with Keystone's external advisers to manage due diligence, funding and completion accounts across the deal pipeline.

Josh Wilson - Acquisitions Analyst

Josh supports the deal team by researching target businesses, analysing financial statements and preparing the detailed assessments that underpin Keystone's acquisition decisions. He works across the full pipeline — from initial screening through to pre-offer analysis — and is responsible for maintaining Keystone's market intelligence on sectors and opportunities across the built environment.
